Sacandaga Lake is one of the sources of the Sacandaga River, It is in the town of Lake Pleasant just across the golf course from the county courthouse. It is great for boating, swimming, canoeing , fishing. This lake is not to be confused with the Great Sacandaga Lake, where Northville, Mayfield and Edinburg are located on to the south on Route 30
It is just the sort of peaceful but easily accesible location that makes it an ideal place to locate that vacation or retirement home. It is smack in the middle of Hamilton County, the most rural and green county the whole North Eastern United States. It even has a public golf course between the lake and the main road, Route 8.
It is located off of NY Route 8, so it is an easy and fast trip from the Rome, Little Falls and Utica Area The Village of Speculator lies 4 miles east of Sacandaga Lake. Sacandaga Lake is also next door to Lake Pleasant Center and lake too.
