Sacandaga Lake and the hamlet of Lake Pleasant are in the Town of Lake Pleasant on Route 8, the Southern Adirondack Trail. It is about are about 3 miles SW of Speculator on NY 8. From the south, we are about 50 miles from Utica or Herkimer and the Thruway, I-90. You can get to here from Amsterdam and Johnstown by going on Route 30 north to Speculator, then turning left on NY 8 in the middle of the village.
